Nice garage door remote replacement: identify yours
Nice makes openers for garage doors and gates, and it has used several remote systems. Most run on the same frequency but won’t work with each other, so the model name matters.
Which Nice remote do you have?
The ranges you’re most likely to find:
- FLO (FLO1, FLO2, FLO4) is fixed code.
- FLOR (FLO1R-S, FLO2R-S, FLO4R-S and the FLO2RE) is rolling code. The R in the name is the clue.
- SMILO (SM2, SM4) is rolling code too, but it won’t work with a FLOR receiver.
- ERA is another Nice range, and some ERA remotes use the same coding as FLOR.
These usually all run on 433.92 MHz, which is why a remote can look right, be on the right frequency and still do nothing. The coding has to match your receiver.

No clear label? What to photograph
These usually settle it:
- The remote. The model name is usually printed on it, and FLO2, FLO2R-S or SM2 tells us straight away.
- The receiver near the door or gate, with its cover on, plus any label.
- The motor label, if you can reach it.
