How much does it cost to identify my remote?

Nothing. Identification is free and there’s no obligation. We’ll tell you exactly what you need even if you buy it somewhere else.

How quickly will you reply?

The same day, usually within a couple of hours during the week. If the photo doesn’t settle it, we’ll ask for one more, normally of the label on the motor.

What if I can’t find a label?

Send a photo of whatever you can reach: the remote, the motor unit on the ceiling, or the receiver box on the wall. If that doesn’t settle it, we’ll ask for another and tell you where to look.

Labels are often on the side of the motor unit, on the receiver box, or inside the remote’s battery cover. What to photograph shows each of them.

Will the new remote work straight away?

Where your system allows it, we program the remote to your door before it leaves us, so it works out of the box. Some systems have to be paired at the motor, and we’ll tell you if yours is one of them.

Do you help with programming?

Yes, it’s included. Most remotes that “don’t work” just need pairing. If yours won’t play, email us and we’ll walk you through it. It usually takes about five minutes.

What is the Correct Remote Guarantee?

An optional £6.99 add-on at checkout. If the remote we identified turns out to be the wrong one for your system, we’ll replace it or refund you.

How do I pay?

When we reply with your match, we’ll tell you the price and how to order it. There’s no obligation to buy from us.

Why didn’t my universal remote work?

Most garage systems from roughly the last fifteen years use rolling code. The signal changes every time you press the button, so there’s nothing for a universal remote to copy. Rolling code vs fixed code explains it properly.
