About the Chamberlain TX4RUNI
This universal keyring remote has four buttons and a rolling code, built for Chamberlain’s Evolution range including the ML510EV, ML550EV, ML580EV, ML700EV, ML800EV, ML810EV, ML1000EV and ML1040EV, plus the CHLA250EVC, CHAA250EVC, CHSL400EVC and TPD10-05. It covers both the older and newer coding generations used across these openers, so it’s a handy option if you’re unsure which exact remote your system needs. LiftMaster sells the same remote as the TX4UNIS.

What it looks like: A small silver-grey fob with four buttons, a white light and a keyring loop.
Don’t mix it up: It’s easily mixed up with the TX2REV and TX4REV, which look similar but run on 868 MHz and have a blue light rather than white.

This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes.
