Ellard Genesis Grey Transmitter

The Ellard Genesis Grey Transmitter is a rolling-code remote on 433 MHz, so a cheap universal remote can’t copy it. It’s paired at your motor, or from a remote that already works, and we send simple steps for yours.

About the Ellard Genesis Grey Transmitter

This is the standard handset supplied with Ellard’s Genesis control panel, which operates roller shutter and garage doors fitted with a tubular motor. It has separate up, stop and down buttons and uses a rolling code. A lock feature can be set on the handset to stop the buttons being pressed by accident. It also works with Ellard’s second generation white Athena control panel.

Is this your remote?

Look on the label or the back of the remote for:

KC088-21

What it looks like: A fob with a grey plastic case, a keyring cord, and three buttons for up, stop and down arranged in a vertical row.

Don’t mix it up: It is easily confused with Ellard’s white and black handsets for other generations of Ellard control panel, so match the colour of your existing handset or panel before ordering.

Also sold as: Ellard Genesis Handset, Genesis Standard Transmitter, KC088-21, Genesis key fob, product code 15296.

Still not sure? Upload a photo below and we’ll match it, or send it and we’ll check it by hand.

How it’s set up

This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes. Rolling code vs fixed code explains why.

We email simple steps for your system with every order, and if it won’t pair, email us and we’ll walk you through it.

Seen it cheaper somewhere else?

Check it’s the genuine Ellard remote. Many cheaper listings are copies or “compatible” remotes, not the manufacturer’s own. A genuine Ellard remote has the Ellard name on it, usually on the front or on the label on the back, along with the model name. Copies often leave the name off, and some won’t pair with a rolling-code system at all. A universal remote that works by copying can’t copy a rolling code.

Every remote we sell is the genuine Ellard remote, with set-up help included.
