Hörmann HSE 2 BS remote

The Hörmann HSE 2 BS is a rolling-code remote on 868.3 MHz, so a cheap universal remote can’t copy it. It’s paired at your motor, or from a remote that already works, and we send simple steps for yours.

Now replaced by the Hörmann HSE 4 BS. It works with the same BiSecur systems and adds two more buttons, and it’s the one we’ll send. See the Hörmann HSE 4 BS.

About the Hörmann HSE 2 BS

The HSE 2 BS is Hörmann’s first-generation BiSecur keyfob, launched in 2012, with two buttons in an oval recess and a two-colour light. It works with Series 3 and 4 SupraMatic and ProMatic operators, RollMatic doors, RotaMatic, LineaMatic and VersaMatic gate operators, and can switch to fixed-code mode to run older 868 MHz Hörmann and Garador operators from 2005 to 2012. It has been replaced by the HSE 4 BS.

What it looks like: A small keyfob with two buttons stacked in an oval recess, a keyring loop at the bottom and a two-colour light at the top; usually black or white, though other colours are available.

Don’t mix it up: It’s easily mistaken for the earlier grey-bodied HSE 2 with light blue buttons and a red light, which came before the BiSecur system.

Also sold as: HSE 2 BiSecur, HSE2-868-BS, HSE 2 868-BS, 2-button micro hand transmitter.

What it works with

  • SupraMatic E/P Series 3
  • ProMatic Series 3
  • SupraMatic 4 / ProMatic 4 / ProMatic Akku
  • RollMatic
  • RotaMatic / LineaMatic / VersaMatic gate operators
  • All Hörmann/Garador 868 MHz fixed-code operators 2005-2012 via fixed-code 868 MHz mode
  • GaraMatic

How it’s set up

This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes. Rolling code vs fixed code explains why.

We email simple steps for your system with every order, and if it won’t pair, email us and we’ll walk you through it.
