About the Hörmann HSP 4 BS

The HSP 4 BS is a round, disc-shaped Hörmann fob with four buttons and a small sliding switch that locks the buttons out. It works with any BiSecur-compatible operator and can also switch to a fixed-code mode for older 868 MHz operators.

Look on the label or the back of the remote for:

What it looks like: A round black disc-shaped fob with a keyring, four buttons around the middle, a two-colour light and a small sliding switch on the face.

Don’t mix it up: It looks similar to the earlier fixed-code HSP 4 and HSP 4-C, so it’s worth checking which radio system your operator uses before choosing between them.

How it’s set up

This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes.
