About the Hörmann HSZ 1 BS

The HSZ 1 BS is a one-button remote shaped to plug into a car’s cigarette-lighter socket, working with any BiSecur-compatible Hörmann operator. It can also switch to a fixed-code mode to run older 868 MHz operators.

What it looks like: A small cylindrical black plug that fits a car cigarette-lighter socket, with one round button on the visible end.

Don’t mix it up: An older fixed-code version without ‘BS’ in its name also exists in the same plug shape, so check the exact designation before buying.

How it’s set up

This is a rolling-code remote: its signal changes every time you press it, so a universal copying remote won’t work. It has to be paired with your system, either at the motor or receiver, usually with a learn or program button, or from a remote that already works. It normally takes a couple of minutes.
