NVM garage door remote replacement: identify yours

Which NVM remote do you have?

The ones you're most likely to find:

• NT1016 is NVM's current single channel keyfob, a chrome fob with a sliding cover over Up, Stop and Down buttons and a CR2032 battery, fitted to control units supplied from May 2012 onwards.
• NT1103A is the earlier chrome keyfob it replaced. It looks almost identical, but it uses a GP7 battery and only pairs with control units supplied before May 2012.
• NT1216N is a black satin keyfob with the same Up, Stop, Down layout and a lockable front, used on some later NVM installations.
• NGO627 and the wider NGO range are white four button transmitters used with NVM's gate operator receivers rather than its roller shutter door range.

The date the control unit was fitted, and its model number on the wall box, usually tells us which handset generation is needed.

NVM's keyfobs use rolling code, so the installation date matters more than button colour when matching a replacement.

No clear label? What to photograph

These usually settle it:

• Your handset, front and back, so we can see its colour and battery type.
• The control unit on the wall, with its cover on, plus any model label.
