How to add a Somfy Keytis 4 io remote to a Dexxo Pro io motor

For: Somfy Dexxo Pro 800 / 1000 io

First, if your home already has other io products

1. On an existing remote that already works (a Keytis, Telis, Impresario or Composio), press KEY until its green light comes on (2 seconds).
2. Briefly press KEY on the new Keytis and wait for the confirmation beep (a few seconds).

• If the new Keytis is the first remote in your system, skip this.

Add a button at the motor

1. Press and hold PROG on the motor until its light comes on (2 seconds).
2. Briefly press PROG on the Keytis (the small recessed button on its back). Wait for the second beep and for the green indicator to blink quickly. This can take from a few seconds to about a minute.
3. Briefly press the button you want to run the motor. The remote beeps and the motor’s light blinks for 5 seconds.

• To check whether a button is already used, press it. Green means it is already programmed, orange means it isn’t.

Copy from a Keytis that already works

1. On the working Keytis, hold PROG until the green light comes on (2 seconds).
2. Briefly press PROG on the new Keytis. Wait for the second beep and for the green light to blink rapidly.

• This copies the whole remote. Somfy’s manual also describes copying a single button.

Deleting remotes

• To clear every remote, hold PROG on the motor until the light blinks (7 seconds). This also removes the system key the motor stored.

Check that your remote really is a Keytis 4 io before you use these steps, because the Keytis RTS remotes need different ones. Other io motors aren’t covered on this page yet.
