How to add a Somfy Telis 1 RTS using a Telis that already works

For: Any Somfy RTS product already controlled by a working Telis 1 RTS, Telis Soliris or Telis 4

Before you start

• You need a pencil or similar pointed tip: the PROG button on the back of a Telis is small and recessed.
• On a Telis 4, first choose the channel that controls this motor on its own.

Add the new Telis

1. Bring the door to a halfway position, so you can see it move.
2. Turn the original Telis over and press its PROG button with the pencil tip until the product moves briefly (or beeps 3 times). Programming mode is now open for about 2 minutes.
3. Turn the new Telis 1 RTS over and press its PROG button briefly. The product moves briefly again (or beeps 8 times): the new Telis is stored.
4. Test it with the Down button on the new Telis.

Somfy’s guide is written for shutters and blinds. A garage motor such as a Dexxo may show its confirmation with its light, not by moving. Other ways of adding a Telis aren’t covered on this page.
