How to pair a Hörmann HS 5 BS remote with a SupraMatic 3 opener

For: Hörmann SupraMatic 3, E and P versions (integrated receiver)

Before you start

• The door must be stopped, and the opener’s warning phase and hold-open phase must not be running.
• The opener remembers up to 150 remote codes. Beyond that, the oldest are dropped.

Pair a button

1. Hold the PRG button on the opener until the display shows 00.
2. Use the arrow buttons to pick menu 11 (open, stop, close), 12 (light) or 13 (partial opening), then press PRG. The display flashes.
3. Press and hold the button on the remote until the number on the display flashes quickly. (The remote’s LED lights blue for 2 seconds, goes out, then after about 5 seconds flashes red and blue.)
4. Let go. Repeat for any more buttons.

• Press PRG to cancel. If nothing happens for 25 seconds, the opener goes back to programming mode and you have to choose the menu again.

Good to know

• This opener has no menu for open only, close only or ventilation. Hörmann’s manual points to an external ESE BS receiver for those.

Deleting remotes

• To delete remote codes, choose menu 40 and hold PRG for 5 seconds. This deletes all remote codes. You can’t delete a single button.
