How to pair a Hörmann HSE 4 BS remote with a ProMatic 3 opener

For: Hörmann ProMatic 3 (integrated receiver, P button and red LED)

Before you start

• The door must be at rest, and the opener’s warning phase and hold-open phase must not be running.
• The opener remembers up to 100 remote codes. Beyond that, the oldest are dropped.

Pair a button for open, stop, close

1. Press the P button on the opener cover once. The red LED in the clear button flashes once.
2. Press and hold the button on the remote. Its LED lights blue for 2 seconds and goes out, and after about 5 seconds it flashes red and blue. Keep holding until the red LED on the opener flashes quickly.
3. Let go. The red LED then flashes slowly, ready for another button. To pair another button, repeat steps 2 and 3.
4. To finish, press P twice, or wait. It times out after 20 seconds with no valid code.

Deleting remotes

• To delete remote codes, hold P until the LED flashes slowly and then fast, then let go. Letting go early cancels it. This deletes all remote codes. You can’t delete a single button.
