Returns and refunds
Changed your mind, wrong remote, or something wrong with it? Here is what to do and what you get back. It matches our terms of sale, which have the full detail.
Changed your mind
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your remote, for any reason. You don’t need a special form.
- Email info.whichremote@gmail.com to say you want to cancel. Any wording is fine.
- We’ll reply with the address to send it to. Please keep the remote complete and as you received it, so we can sell it again.
- Post it back within 14 days of telling us. Keep your proof of postage, and a tracked service is a good idea.
- We refund the price and the standard delivery charge within 14 days of getting it back, or of you showing us you’ve sent it.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank can take a few days to show it. You pay for posting it back, unless it’s faulty or not what you ordered. We may reduce the refund if the remote has been handled more than you’d need to check it works.
It’s the wrong remote
If you added the Correct Remote Guarantee and the remote we identified turns out to be wrong for your system, email us with your order details. We’ll replace it with the right one or refund you. Even without the guarantee, tell us as soon as you notice, and we’ll do what we can to put it right.
It’s faulty
Within 30 days of delivery you can reject a faulty remote for a full refund. After that, you can ask us to repair or replace it. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply. Email us and we’ll sort it out.
The remote works, but the door doesn’t
A remote that works isn’t faulty, and the problem may be the motor, receiver or control panel. Email us and we’ll help you work out which. You can still cancel within 14 days, and the terms of sale explain what we need back and how the refund works.
It’s been discontinued
If a maker has stopped making the remote and we can’t supply it, we’ll email you as soon as we know and give you a full refund, delivery included, within 14 days.
It arrived damaged, or hasn’t arrived
Email us as soon as you can with your order details and, if it’s damaged, a photo. Your order is our responsibility until it reaches you, so we’ll deal with the courier and replace it or refund you.
The full wording is in our terms of sale. Questions? Email info.whichremote@gmail.com.
